About Emil's

Emil’s is Augusta's newest restaurant and bar with a self-pour taproom β€” and we're stitched together with a lot of butter, a little grit, and a healthy sense of humor.

Named after Emil β€” or Mitch, or just Papa, depending on who you ask β€” we built this place the way he lived: resourceful, big-hearted, and never afraid to break a few rules if it made the gravy better.

So here’s what you’ll find at Emil’s: small plates and big boards made from scratch, a tap wall that refuses to be boring, craft coffee, and a pastry case that never disappoints. We promise you an experience that is both comforting and wonderfully unexpected, so come on in, pour yourself a drink, and have a meal with us. We'd like to get to know you better.

A great coffee shop with a self pour tap wall and kitchen that makes everything fresh daily. I haven't had a single thing I haven't liked. The tap wall has a ton of variety from wines, to ciders, to craft beers. It rotates every so often, so there is always something new to try! They do a great job at keeping favorites while providing new things to try. One of my favorite spots to hang out downtown! All the staff is so friendly and they truly put in effort to remember you and provide top tier customer service!

Excellent restaurant for small dishes (tapas style) and self pour drinks. Everything was very new and clean looking. The food was excellent. Focaccia bread and whipped feta honey dip was great. Roast beef slider very good. Tomato bisque was amazing. Wife enjoyed the ham and Swiss slider. Our server was very informative. Definitely recommend!

Everything was absolutely delicious. I had the tomato soup and the turkey pesto mini stack with the chai tea and brown sugar and enjoyed it all. My friend couldn’t stop talking about the whipped feta dip, especially paired with the focaccia bread, and my other friend’s son really enjoyed the turkey pesto mini stack as well. We also shared the Farmer Board, and it was lovely. I genuinely forgot to take a photo of most of what we ordered but grabbed what I could. The service was phenomenal. I didn’t realize it was a full service coffee shop, so that was such a pleasant surprise. Everyone was so kind, warm, welcoming, and intentional, and which made the experience so satisfying. I look forward to coming again! (I would like to notate that I came on a slower day, since I joined on July 4th) Thankful for the kindness of Wren, Carrington, and Shawn.

I've been to nearly every establishment on Broad st. multiple times and can say with certainty, you'd be making a mistake if you missed out on Emil's. I came here for the first time to do some work, but they have a "no screen policy" in their main dining area(you can work in the bar area!); I respect that so much. The staff are super attentive and kind, the food is both reasonably priced and delicious. They have ~30 alcoholic drinks on a self-serve tap, a full coffee/tea bar, small bites, and baked goods. The interior itself is consistent in design choices: welcoming/cozy with a bit of a retro vibe.

Nothing less than five stars for a casual experience! My personal top 3 in the CSRA now! Some dining outdoors, dog friendly. Great taps (pickle gose!) and tapas (meatballs, homemade pickles, sliders, treats, etc) Great service (owner came to say hey) This place used to be a mens clothing store but you would never know. Impeccably decorated. Would be perfect for a girls night (or guys night honestly) The Formbys will be back!
